The 2018 UAccess Symposium brings together University of Arizona staff and faculty who are interested in furthering the use of UAccess systems in their workplace. The Symposium provides a forum to discuss ideas, find resources, connect with colleagues, and learn about best practice approaches.

We have a whole series of presentations lined up for you, as we have done over the past five years. Your task will be to decide among the fantastic offerings and choose those you're most interested in seeing. You won't be able to attend all of the presentations, but we will be recording them all so you can go back and attend them online at your convenience.

Our presenters come from all across campus, and they will be coming to tell you all about their particular business processes or what specific challenge, obstacle, or issue they've successfully addressed in their organization. Each of the presentations will definitely have broad appeal. You just have to decide where your interests lie.

In this presentation the Accounts Payable office will discuss best practices in utilizing the Purchase Order process for the purchase of goods and services exceeding $10,000 and multiple invoices for a vendor. The agenda will include an overview of Purchase Order process and navigating UAccess Financials invoice approval, encumbrances, line item receiving requirements and the Auto-Approval process.

What do Yahoo!, Uber, and Equifax have in common? They made headlines for data breaches last year. You play an important role in ensuring that UA’s data remains secure. This session will cover the risks to University data, especially data available in UAccess systems, and what measures you should take to protect it. The tips and tools addressed in this session will also help you understand how you can protect your personal information and home environment.
